as the title says guys im looking for a camera bag for an SLR from around the time, was there an issue one for example? preferably a shoulder bag

Looking at the photos I have from the period- any muted tone 1950s/60s(tan/brown etc) Camera bag was used outside of the field.

In the field, it appears to have been normal to tote a couple of cameras with lens caps only....I guess missing a great picture from having to fiddle one's camera out of a bag mattered more than damage to your camera...

Pretty certain there wasn't an issued one- but any of the normal 'carrying solutions' available on the 'barter market' (Claymore satchel, officer's map case etc) would probably do.

Good old Robert Capa used to carry a TLR inside a little leather case.

Good photographer too!
