I can't find any mention of it on the forums but I've just spotted a photo on RSOV's front page for a Vanaras 446Mhz PRR. Fingers crossed.

No further info found beside the photo as yet.

From the looks of that pic its just a PMR radio in a PRR case, no remote PTT and it still has an inline PTT :(

Mmmm, sadly for those of us that would like a good quality replica PRR you're probably right, we'll never see it happen. Still one lives in hope until cruel reality kicks me in the man jewels once again.

;)

PRR Radio

This PRR replica works fine, and has all the stuff a PRR should. It comes out of the box un able to talk to UK PMR radios but it can be re programed with a free software that is fairly easy to find on the net.

One note with these radios is that normal "AA" batterys wont work with them, they need super powerful ones that cozt about £10 for rechargeable ones.

Worth a look if you really want a PRR

They pick up a lot of interference the quality of the head sets is poor. The power levels are to high for uk use without amature radio operators licence. There are other problems with the set like the wireless ptt induces signal interference when transmitting I could go on but folk can make there own minds up about blowing 60 quid on a radio that requires a non standard battery with poor reception and is illegal to use in England without a licence. I ended up buying genuine PRR's and breaking my copies for the battery covers and knobs. Now these new clones operate on pmr frequencies so legal in England but no wireless ptt so It appears it's just a physical replica so if it's the look you want...........

MSRP from RSOV

MSRP : USD79.99

ETA : August 2010.

Note : 'Vanaras' Bowman style headset with Motorola Talkabout single pin TRRS connector sold separately (MSRP USD29.99)

so a smidge under 110 dollars

Why have they still put a U-94 PTT inline?
