[Apologies if this is posted in the wrong section!]
I'm the cofounder and one of the directors at Wyld Stallyons, a TV production company based in Barbican, London. Our credits include creating over 80 visual effects shots for the movie Kick-Ass and we shoot TV commercials, TV idents, music videos and animations.
I'm directing a short film and require some extras to help us create an exciting battle scene in a disused factory in East London on Saturday 17th July 2010. There is no pay, but all extras will be picked up and delivered from a central London location, fed and watered, and when the film is complete will receive DVD copies of the movie and an invitation to the premier screening in London.
Our short film is called Magnesium, a sci-fi action thriller about a rogue military robot, called Eve3, on the run with her human boyfriend, Tom. The BioDroid corporation send a small army to try and get her back as Eve3 and Tom meet up with a rebel force dedicated to exposing the evil BioDroid corporation. The film's climax is a battle between the Rebel and BioDroid forces in a disused factory that the Rebels have been using as their base. We have a professional armourer supplying weapons for our lead actors and local police and authorities have been informed of the shoot, which is contained within the factory and not visible to the public.
Extras:
We need extras to populate both sides, the BioDroid corporation and Rebels.
BIODROID SOLDIERS
These should wear black uniforms, preferably SWAT style. Face masks/Gas masks are optional.
REBELS
This is a rag-tag army of volunteers, some military some not. Camo gear (preferably US-style) mixed with vests, t-shirts and other military stuff like webbing would be good. These guys are supposed to look like they've fought many battles, so a sweaty, unshaven look would be encouraged!
Here's a link to the lead actors and extras in the film from the costume, hair and make-up tests:

Because we'll be adding muzzle flashes and ejected cartridges in post, here's a little proof of concept test we did at our office (NOT footage from the film!)

If anyone is interested, you should have:
Your own uniform (BioDroid Swat or Rebels)
Your own realistic airsoft weapon(s)
...and be prepared for a long, but fun day!
Please contact myself jason@wyldstallyons.com or our producer Janey Robinson janey@wyldstallyons.com with any comments or questions!
Thanks guys!

You do realise not all airsofters are not as... photogenic as others, right?
Summary, there's a lot of fat old men who play, and you've got a bevvy of beauties, you're gonna get every man and his tactical dog applying. You gonna be asking for pics and stuff I assume?

Fat old men are fine. The robots in the film are supposed to be beautiful, everyone else can be short, tall, good looking, ugly, black, white or from Birmingham. If you want to get involved, we'd love to have you!

Would there be on site parking for those wishing to drive themselves? What sort of time frame are we talking... 9-5, 8-6 etc?
Cheers.

Thanks for getting in touch!
I believe there is limited parking at the Factory itself, but I'm not sure how many production vehicles we'll have. I will get one of our production assistants to look into it and get back to you. Call time will probably be between 8am and 9am. We'll probably serve breakfast at 8:30am. We'll probably aim to wrap at 8pm, but there's probably no need to stay until the bitter end. 8-6 is probably a realistic estimate at this point.

It would have been polite to ask before advertising/promoting yourselves.
