Hello all, firstly - I'm not too sure if this is the right section for this thread but I'm sure as the site beds-in it can be moved accordingly.

Next, from the ASCUK days, the L119A1 thread was packed with pictures, information and general showing off, lets try and get that back for UKAZ!

Starting tomorrow, I'l throw up some real-steel reference pictures as well as some of my ICS L119A1 CQB project.

Edit: Added Diemaco to the thread title

Heres my 10" Diemaco, pretty much finished all I want to do now is change the ACOG for one with the Doctor sight and give it a dusting of Krylon.

SPECS:

CA CQB Base with outer barrel trimmed and rethreaded by half an inch to get down to 10"
Guarder large "Stow away" Grip
Standard TM M4A1 Stock with Guarder stock pad
Element SF Scout light (Note the NBC tape to protect the wiring this is the weak part of the clone and real deal I'm told)
SF556 Flashhider (Same version as on Ebaybanned)
DYTAC Peq 15 (Dummy)
ACM ACOG (The one pictured is a x4 I also use a red dot version)
I run a 11.1v Lipo in the stock tube (Its eaten on set of gears already)
Unknown Make ready mag.

I'm in the middle of another 16" build, I current have a short and long top end to fit the same lower but have decided its less hassle just to have another :)

Not bad at all!!!

Extra points for the holster as well, you dont see many of them around these days, and to me they were still better than the 6004's!

Here's me and my mates attempts at catterick last year.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc28/icarus3815/l119a1.jpg

Mines is the one on the left:

Systema PTW
RS KAC RIS
RS AN/PEQ-2
RS Surefire scout light
KAC VFG
Trijicon NSN ACOG
Guarder PTW storm grip
VFC standard m4 stock
Diemaco butt pad, albeit in the wrong colour!

Need to get newer photos up as after a small accident it now has a new upper, and a repro SF556 can from a very nice man.

Glad to see this thread resurface, it was always an absolute wealth on information, and a fine example of people all over the country pulling together for a common goal.

I'm fairly sure I have hi-res images of those 3 Sunray (On my work machine). They're all red cap CP pics arent they?

Just to be a PITA.. will you ever be commisioning another run of barrel extensions Mike?
(this has nothing to do with me getting a G&P shorty with an 11.5 barrel)

No more runs (I think the market is nearly saturated http://www.ukairsoftzone.co.uk/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif ) but Bob's made enough £££'s out of it now he'll do one off's. Won't be able to get anything done until the new year though as he's back in Spain from Monday. What are you after?

Edit: Now I see, not done one for 11.5" barrel before but shouldnt be a problem :)

Oh no rush anyway Mike ;)

I've a G&P with a +Ve threaded 11.5" outerbarrel (M733 lenght IIRC - i'll measure it in the morning!)that i'd like to make up into an L119 full and CQB length.
As it is i'm awaiting the correct pistol grip and the RIS to land (cheers mr postman <_< ) so it's just obtainig the correct front sight and it's nearly there (bar a more suitably trademarked reciver if i want to be utterly pedantic)

If you want to do a CQB and 16" you'll need the 733 barrel trimmed down to 10" (But I can sort you out with that too in either +ve or -ve thread).

You'll struggle finding the correct sight though, Army code didn't make many and have since discontinued it. You can get by with a little miliput or just cheat and wrap some NBC/ Sniper tape in the right place ;)

I've not bothered with a body myself, last I heard they were engraved Dboys bodies which I've had no end of trouble with.

Frankly i'll keep the 11.5" i'm not overly pedantic ;) But a 16" extension would be super.

I feared so on the sight I might have a pop at mocking one up or just live with a std one ;)
