Another AOR1 Replica Set...

DragonRed AOR 1 Gen 2s

Inspired by the Gray Fox team, I took the leap on a set of the Korean AOR1 replicas. I already own a set of the Dragon Red Multicam gen 2s, and the Korean set is a bit better quality than the DR's: the stretch panels are thicker/stronger and the waist padding thicker. The advantage with the Korean ones is you get to pick & choose what size you want your trousers & shirt. My DR trousers fit but the shirt is too tight and too short...

After spending so long, and so much coin, on my UKSF gear, I may have caught the NSW bug... FUGGIT!

@sleepy_uk

Looking forward to your loadout but have a comment regarding your last question about rig colour.

IMO when trying to tailor a realistic look/theme/impression (whatever one), the most expensive items off the top of my head are probably the primary weapon, the secondary weapon and the rig. If you choose your favoured direction and due to previous purchases you are already making excuses to universally accepted realism and busting out the old chestnut of "private purchase" my suggestion would be to change your theme.

Tailor your theme to the kit you have already spent good money to buy, and kit you already like wearing.

We all know that private purchase happens, as does the supply chain route of some guys having something a little different from other guys in their unit. All totally feasible and legit, no arguments from me (if fact like many units, multicam rigs are popping up all over the place as well). However in this game its about easily recognisable features. If you want to be "seen" as MARSOC and people to say or think "Hey look at that guy, cool MARSOC look" then people have to do that mental checklist in their head and identify what it is you were trying to do.

To people who are not into the impression thing you will always look like a geardo, but again in this game we really want to have the mutual respect from the peergroup who also do the impression stuff. Unless it feels visually accurate to that set of people, its just another good generic U.S. commando geardo look!

By tailoring your theme to what you own rather than trying to shoehorn your gear into the theme you save money Look at what you own/already like and say "who uses this stuff that I think are badass" then go that route. Save money and also guarantee that people respect it that much more and appreciate all your effort.

All that said, I'm not that up to date with MARSOC/MSOB/FR stuff and leave all that to some real experts in my team if I wanna know anything. If you have a pic that makes all the above irelevant, then crack on fella! I look forward to the final product. :)

Adzpac: Cheers for ya comments dude, all taken on board completely... Looking over some photos I have and all their ciras appear to be mjk, also a couple in RG and a RAV. I just got myself thinking because I believe the USMC use CB, weather that is just for the infantry I'm not sure but MARSOC are running khaki by the look of it :)

I'm happy to go ahead with it anyhow... Hopefully it will start taking shape soon enough to show some WIPs...

Liking that 3rd pic there Carl! If I might make a couple of suggestions, maybe a callsign patch on the front of the slick? That velcro looks a little naked. Route the MBITR aerial through the elastic loops, looks like it might crack you one in the face; and some more flex cuffs.

As Adz said, good touch on that CAT on the rear strap of the rig and that half-n-half camo looks good too.

Dude in total im carrying seven asp flex cuffs, three in each of the side GP pouches and one in plain sight, with other bits and bobs. Always been after call sign patches however never found a good place to buy them and have never been assigned a call sign. Few little loss ends I need to tie up and ill post some more pics.

Jack Im in the process of doing that now, waiting on the SU set and DR then looking at rails once again, When you posting yours up?

Kevin was the pic your talking about when SEAL were with the DEA boys?

I looked at these pics and vid again as this was my first thought also. Couldn't see the guy that fits that description.

There was an AOR1 top and ACU trousers (I think I posted that screen grab earlier in this thread)

There is that group pic of SEALs/devgru with the guy in MC trousers and a plain t-shirt

There is also that pic of a guy in full MC that looks NSW by kit choices carrying the Mk17.

So I kinda bought a RAV. This was not something I was planning. Not sure how long I intend on keeping it, but I figured I'd kinda do an AWG impression with it in the mean time...got everything except ANVIS and a HK 416. Damn.

now I have Carl to blame for getting me way to much into the US loadout side of things and spending far to much money, the bug has truly bitten me!, element still have no news on the M3X, PEQ16 switch combo or even if they do them individually, I noticed the M3x doesnt come with miltary sticker but this can be bought from ebay!

Also the DR Sight must be due out any time now as its on the EBB site. No price as yet but expected to be around 127 USD. (ouch)

No where near on par with some of the impressions in this thread, but a little shot of my Block 2 WIP from earlier this month.

Ta - ignore the loadout, was a 'what I have lying round' job for an event, rather than any specific impression.

I still need to get a new grip and stock for the gun..... then all the accesories lol
